Morning All

A ‘new’ watch landed with me this morning with a non-Omega bracelet. The quality seems decent enough but I cannot find a match for the maker.

Does anyone recognise it? It seems to be WWK so perhaps WK Watches? I can’t find anything on Google.

I've seen one on eBay advertised as VWK, but that might just be from someone with another interpretation of the logo, also without any knowledge about the background... Might be worth it including that into the search, though.

I've been trying to track down this maker for years now and no joy at all. I've had two Jubilee types, one beads of rice and one tapered rivet sprung link - all from 1940s/50s Tudor watches (all Oysters) and all in the UK.

It also looks like WWK to me, I've asked on the Rolex forums as well as WUS and no joy - I've also tried looking through Graces Guide as I suspect that it's along the lines of Clewco, WAB, Montal et al and "Made in England".

@Hilts thanks for the input.

That makes sense as this came from the UK. I’ll assume it’s a generic, JB Champion-esque bracelet for the UK market.

Yeeees, but would a maker of generic bracelets sign the visible side of the clasp?

Yep - JB Champion signed the visible side of the clasp on a number of their bracelets as did others such as WAB and Bonklip.

Found this picture on an old sales listings on Google.

Seems to add weight to the likelihood that WK isn’t a watch brand, but a company who supplied generic bracelets.

Excellent find! It's a pity that they don't have a photograph of the back of the card - it may have had more information on it.

Found this (admittedly really old) thread when searching for info on the WWK/WK bracelet I've just bought.
Unfortunately there is no info on the back of the card, so if anybody found some new information I love to hear about it.
