I'm amazed that this blatant shill hasn't been dumpstered yet. And, what does @JetLinks have to do with this; is he part and parcel? He certainly hasn't returned to add any opinion.

Looking at his profile, I don't see any obvious connection; perhaps he's a friend of our salesman or perhaps he was duped into starting this thread. I know if it had happened to me, I'd be hiding my tracks right now.

Oh, and Nigel, I curiously clicked on your company link. Wish I hadn't; that can't be unseen. If you are not the head of marketing, I'd have a serious talk with whoever is; if you are, you should find a new profession; you suck at this one.

Just in case, and should this information be of any interest to you, I sought and obtained confirmation from the CODE41 team that assembly of the NB24 is performed by Concepto Watch Factory and that part of the assembly costs are in effect included in the costs of the movement.

Not when they're dissing accountants... 馃槜
Both Trev and I have an accountant for a Mrs, just putting that out there.

Speaking of accounting, just to give some perspective, for basically the same money as that NB42 carbon thing, one could own a JLC Master Compessor Memovox:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/JAEGER-LECOULTRE-Master-compressor-memovox-146-8-97-Automatic-Men-039-s-Watch-590125-/264989711775?epid=9043540300&hash=item3db29e1d9f:g:EMcAAOSwyoNf5pBt&nma=true&si=XuoU4DgLO%2FUiDH%2BqCPbhQsN2CDo%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

With an in-house alarm movement and JLC is likely to be around to service it in a few years.

Or you can get a microbrand 7750 based watch.

"Claudio set his sights on a new venture that would create watches of the highest quality with the help of an engaged community of timepiece enthusiasts who could play an active role in the design process"

I think we can all guess the direction Nigel's future posts will be taking ... ::stirthepot::

The design process is still very much driven by the CODE41 team. The CODE41 community I am now a part of since I have purchased an NB24 merely validates certain steps in this design process. I have not engaged myself in such process so far, but I will happily participate in this process for future projects. I wish other brands would try the same approach as it is an interesting way to create a more lasting link with your customers.

This one would get my vote clearly...

A nice watch indeed.

My comment was referencing one of the Code41 team who doesn't like accountants. 馃榿

I am currently wearing my Seamaster Railmaster Chronometer (ref. 2802.52.37) if you want to know. I purchased it back in 2004 before leaving my earlier position within the Swatch Group 馃榾

You too? It's my favorite to wear on days when I am out in the field at construction sites.

Nice watch! When I'm looking for "Understated high class," like when I'm accepting a Nobel Prize, trying a case in front of the Supreme Court, or having tea with the Queen, I wear my Jacob & Co tourb.
