Here are some pics of my Bond on rubber to aid in your decision. First, on the double-ridged rubber and butterfly clasp:

And on the white-stitched rubber deployment:

Is it hard to do those things up? I've always liked the single fold Omega OEM deployant, particularly on Speedmasters and other vintage sports models, but those butterfly clasps look like pretty difficult to get back together one handed.

Not at all. The other side of the clasp is shorter and is a friction closure. The larger is push-button deployment. Additionally, both sides of the clasp have micro-adjusters that are spring loaded, the tips of which are exposed and finger-friendly allowing for on-the-fly adjustments.

Ahk, so its more like the current PloProf clasp, designed for divers with quick micro adjust for wetsuits and so on. That's not a bad arrangement in that case. I wonder if this double ridged strap and deployant is the same as the one on the new liquid metal PO?

Its amazing how a strap can change the look of a watch.
Ashley (dsio) posted some great pics of his Rolex with different straps, All of them giving the watch new look.

How true. Check my Modified 2201.50 out with Rubber and then with S/S bracelet.
Personally I am not a fan of this Omega Rubber strap, especially when compared with the rubber that came with my Panerai. The O mega strap is stiff and feels somewhat awkward. A real pity it was not the other way around.. Anyways, it's summer down here, and honestly, rubber is out of the question.. Sweaty enough wearing anything at all, and we are temperate, not sub, or even tropical!

With Rubber, and there is no way I would ever wear an Orange strap. Love the bevel tho!

@Wetworks can you provide any purchasing info on your straps? Are they both from Omega or are they aftermarket? That clasp looks great on both. I really like the microadjustment feature on them

@bb58 Omega doesn't make rubber straps with microadjustment. I believe some of their bracelets have them, but the rubber and leather are pretty much stuck to the holes that are drilled.
Some rubber straps can handle self-drilling additional holes pretty well for customization, but the leather and leather-look rubber can't really stand up to the addition of holes.

@yinzerniner ahh okay, thank you for clarifying that.
The blue rubber with white stitching on deployment pictured above, is that an OEM part or can that be found aftermarket?

@b58, that looks like an Omega strap above. I don't know what the part number is, but it's probably listed on Ofrei.
There are some pretty high quality straps that are similar, but non have quite the fit and finish of the originals, especially the rubber straps. The Omega-style replicas in leather, alligator or other materials are somewhat easier to make well than the rubber from what I've found.

Will bump the thread. Anyone knows if this butterfly clasp can be put on the PO 42 mm 20 mm rubber band?
I like that type of clasp but not really the band it attached to

Righty-ho then...

This combo lives on my wrist - SMP300 + Zealande strap. Not a beater per se, but we're getting there. I am not precious with my watches at all. I wear the bloody things so here is a very honest few photos I just snapped on my phone. Warts & all.

(I love the Zealade - it is comfortable, light & just magic to wear. (I have never tried on the Omega one so can't offer any comparison sorry.
