Anyone Else Try the New Seiko Seichu NATO Straps?

I initially saw one in my Watch Time Magazine and thought it looked rather comfy. But, then I saw the retail price and my first thought was... that's crazy. I went onto eBay and found a pre-owned green Seichu strap in mint condition for $115.00. Ok, call me crazy, but, it is the most comfortable NATO, strap, etc, I have ever had on my wrist... period!

Would I pay retail, which I believe is a tad over $200.00, if you can actually find one available at a Seiko authorized dealer... good luck. I'm undecided as I want to see how the Seichu strap handles the test of time. If it's durable and wears well, it just might be worth every penny.

Anyone else try the new Siechu straps?

Picture is of my circa 1974 Seiko 6105-8110. ( although lug width is 19mm the 20mm Seichu strap fits great )

I started a thread with the same question a couple months ago, but didn't seem anyone on the forum had one at the time. I'm glad to hear that they wear nicely. I really prefer natos on most of my watches and would love to try them out.

I almost want to pick up one of the prospex watches that comes with 2 seichu straps. Seems like a deal if they are that good.

They are that comfortable. I usually do a search before I post, I should have found your post. Thanks for replying. Hope to hear from others.

What do you think? Good enough to spend $800 for a pair + a fun 62mas reproduction?

The straps alone are worth 300- 400.00 USD. I think that answers your question.

Here’s my 1967 GMAS which I bought from a gentleman years ago who never wore the watch. Still had its original tropic strap. ( not shown with original strap)

That looks pretty darn clean condition! An original one in good condition is probably out of my price range for now... But maybe I can afford some super fancy Seiko natos instead
