They seem like budget versions of the Grand Seikos, which is something Seiko apparently likes to do to undercut anyone looking to pay $6000+ for a GS. No mention of the GMT mechanism though, whether it's a slave 24hr hand, independently set, or jump-hour.

For me, I'd rather go with either of the Swatch Group's low-end offerings; the Mido Ocean Star GMT or Certina DS Action GMT models both come in a couple hundred dollars less than this Seiko and feature a jump-hour mechanism for "true" GMT capability.

The hour hand is definitely jump-hour. The article I linked to doesn’t mention it, but others online do, along with videos on YouTube. I have also considered the Swatch new GMT movement, but at the moment all are in 44mm cases, which is just too large for me. That’s what makes the Seiko so appealing. Plus, the finishing appears to be much better.

Some of the Midos are 42mm though that is slightly too large for me too.

I think bezel and chapter ring are both fixed.
