Presumably because a wall clock would look stupid with a useless chrono function...

Extra points if you were aware there was once a 3 hand Speedmaster...

I used to belong to a drum forum a while back and at the time I lived in Japan not far from the Pearl drum headquarters. I took some photos and posted them so fans of Pearl drums could see the building and the area around the building. Man, Pearl drums went ballistic; a rep from the company contacted me and told me I was not allowed near their campus, and that the photos would have to be taken down, and it turned into a huge thing. I don't get it, I think it's really cool to see locations and places associated with the things we are interested in

Unless the rights of people are very different in Japan, as long as you took them from a public place, there's not really anything they could do.

I’ve heard of not being allowed to take photos of government buildings, even ones so considered tourist sites, in countries with security issues. But that’s it. Odd of Pearl to do that. Sorry for the off-topic post.
