i just picked up this 37mm captain cook on BOR bracelet with a blue dial i think its a keeper. . . i also love the 1957 golden horse LEs. . and my wife is a big fan of the rado thinline colored watches (for fashion, not horology) we don't own many modern watches but this brand seems like it is headed in a good direction esp at the price point the captain cook and golden horse LE bracelet are the most comfortable modern bracelet i've ever worn
I was not paying much attention until I saw and bought this last year December. I tried the green dial-bracelet version lately just to see. It is nice. The bracelet is very shiny if you like it. I am not sure about where they head but Captain Cook and Golden Horse 1957 releases are to my taste, still I don't much like the "contemporary" Rado watches, probably they are good built though.
I liked their original Cook reissue, but it was a little small. Then was given this for my birthday on a metal strap but swapped into a canvas . It’s now my “go-to” summer holiday watch - tough, nice looking, can jump straight into the pool...hopefully as travel restrictions ease we will be able to go on holiday this August...
Love the CC 37mm reissue, they nailed it on the first shot for form and feel- but then started the copious larger reissues...hope they don’t jump the shark.
completely agree literally the most comfortable BOR i have ever worn on a modern watch i don't know why others can't get that right
I really like my Rado Diamaster XL. The satin gray dial is quite nice with the copper colored hands and markers. I do like where they are going. Bracelet is comfortable as well.
I like the captain cook as well. Thinking of getting one. Just not there yet. i have a vintage green horse. Got it since my dad used to have one until it was stolem. Back in the day.
Coincidentally I was checking out some Rado watches yesterday as I’d love a new diver. In the flesh the brown Captain Cook with its creamy lume is really nice; my only concern is the crown which sticks out a fair bit, with no guards
I like several of their watches, but wish they would use different model names... or just not put the model names on the dial.
