Hi All,
After almost 2 years, I am reviving this thread.
I bought a Zealande Gen2 for my Green Seamaster.
All complains were listened. I am listing all my thoughts below:
- second keeper has a "rectangle pin" almost identical with Garmin straps. It locks very well the keeper. From my point a view, a little better than Omega original strap (round pin in triangle whole)
- the buckle design continues strap's design with raised center zone. It looks better from the design point of view. Matching is perfect.
- very important, because a lot of buyers complained about this: the point where the strap touches the watch case - superb alignment. In fact, the sides of the strap align with the lugs and the center aligns with the separation line between watch case and the bezel. This results in a very small space between strap and bezel (.2-.3mm). Enough for frictionless bezel action, but in the same time small enough to look like there is no gap between strap and bezel. I do not know if the match is the same for older Seamaster versions, but for the latest one is near perfection.
- in EU, the delivery time was 24 hours (cost included in strap's price).
- Alexandre, the CEO, answered all my questions in a timely manner. I was pleasantly impressed by this level of customer support.
- my personal opinion: the strap is thinner compared with: Isofrane, CrafterBlue, Breitling SuperOcean original rubber strap or Doxa Sub original rubber strap. I am not decided if this is a good or a bad decision. Maybe time will tell. The first time I put it on, I thought: why it is so thin? but after 1 day, I can tell you that it does not bother me at all. It is a design decision and I respect this. it looks more elegant compared with Isofrane and less heavy duty. But original Omega strap has the same thinckness.
- the under-side was changed for better experience during wet summer day. Here I must say that Isofrane is the king. But this is due to completly different design (ladder style).
- color is superb (here I am subjective, because I like the color a lot).
My personal conclusion: It is not cheap, but I love it and I apreciate the fact that it is different compared to other high quality rubber straps.
