Still not collecting but I got these here on OF as prizes in Darlinboy:s photo competition:

And Santa brought me these - I guess I had been nice (there is actually watch content in the pic if you are hawk-eyed)

New to the forum and saw this great topic. I've carried a pocket knife since I was a few years old, and I'm sure many of you remember when you could carry a knife in school, and no one panicked. I'll try to get some photos, but my knives these days tend to be Benchmade and Spyderco. They make some great knives, and the s30v steel is outstanding.

My first love (and collection) was from pocket knives! Here are a few of my favorites from my collection. Nowadays, my knife collecting has slowed. I'm quite happy with my collection as it stands. The watch bug has bitten me HARD and I prefer saving (and subsequently spending) resources on timepieces as opposed to pocket knives. fbe816932be69583afef9b5069ceaf89.jpg b1c4f61cae0b1aac8e80531d78ac7c05.jpg 0db83823e9eecc52845202da8e54e136.jpg 98d28d72a27cd3c2bf637d46797ed5c7.jpg 24510edc6a46808b11e6d2f4460818e6.jpg

I used to have a fairly large pocket knife collection but I sold most of them because of NYC's hostility towards the right of a civilian to be able to protect yourself and loved ones.

The penalties in NYC for "criminal" possession of a knife are arbitrary, capricious and draconian. I'm not exaggerating when I claim that you will do less jail time for shoplifting a $20,000 wristwatch than for simple possession of a simple knife.

Ironically, I'm one of a literal few citizens in this fair city who can carry a registered handgun but there's no licensing procedure for other "weapons" for self defense.

My kid brother is one of the leading experts for all of New York regarding our penal code and even he can't figure this crap out.

I don't really like guns but I accept that they're a necessary evil. I understand the arguments that a gun is just a tool and a gun in and of itself it no more less good or evil than a bottle of bleach or a hammer.

Not looking for any arguments. Oh, jeez, please no lol
Well I tell you what mate... you'd be really pissed off in the UK. We don't even allow the police to walk around with guns. We give them a stick, a 'crackly' radio, handcuffs and then kick their 5 foot 3inch arses out onto the street wearing a hat that looks like a robot's tit馃槙

I uh...really like knives. Here's some, not all, that I've received this month. These have been sitting on my side table as I haven't moved them to their home in a glass case yet since I'm still getting to know them.

I carry both a modern Flipper and traditional knife daily. My edc Flipper this week was a Shirogorov Hati in elmax.

I'm not a collector more of a accumulator type. I have hunting knifes from randall, marbles, pocket knifes from various makers. Most of the time I carry a pen knife or if I want something bigger I like this zt with the wave feature. The knifes that have served me very well is a swiss army knife with a lot of bells and whistles and the old case pen knife
