Do Leathermans (men?) count? Sweated the details on this belt-going package and should I ever actually leave the office - it might be handy in the big outside world...

Gave my Japanese pocket knife to a good friend for his birthday. There was 25% off knives in a nearby store, so I have an Alox now:

I can see myself having a vintage red one in the near future, the Alox scales are so pretty.

Here's my (pre Benchmade) Lone Wolf Lobo. It's a hidden automatic which is good in those less than tolerant states 😉 It doesnt get carried much these days since I switched to the Rexford R.U.T. There's something about having a fresh blade without having to sharpen anything that's just too convenient.

Not a collector but I own a few. Here's my grizzly ridge. I'd like a paramilitary 2 also and an higonokami as above. I try to avoid to look too much at knifes, watches are expensive enough already...

And a Kizer I pretty much regret buying.

I like a good kitchen knife. A couple German knives (Wusthof), Japanese (Mac), the little red one is a Victornox, and couple surprisingly good knives made in Taiwan with German Steel (Mercer). My pocket knife is a Gerber Ultralight LST (cheap, solid, and easy to carry).

Don’t know why but I’m suddenly interested in knives, even though I absolutely have no real use for them. Scissors would do what I needed just as well and probably more safely😁

That being said, the CRK Sebenza, Inkosi, and Mnandis are beautiful. Talk me out of buying one please? Or into it?

Also, any other Mnandi type knives I should look at?

Buy a Mnandi

Bought a few before and wish I had of went straight to them. ( would have saved me a lot of $$ )

Spyderco if you want to spend half the price.
Happy to give some advice on a Spyderco that would suit you. Send me a PM if you have any questions knife related.

Buy a Mnandi (Chris Reeve)

Cost a bit so you have to save ( you don’t buy knives )
When you get it you will look at it for a month ( you don’t buy knives )
Save for the next one ( you don’t buy knives ) (you actually start selling knives)

Gorgeous inlay - what’s that one called?

A new Mnandi is $400-500 US, what’s a fair value for good condition pre-owned?

If I buy, I hope to jump into the higher end category rather than slowly climb up there and then have to prune. (I already have a perfectly functional $10 KA-bar)

Any Mnandi-similar knives that aren’t CRK?

What do you use your Mnandi for? I honestly would probably do nearly nothing with it and just use my $10 knife to open packages/etc.

I really feel irrational at the moment

New addition, a true gentlemans knife

http://www.chrisreeve.com/mnandi.html

Mine is actually in Bocote inlay which I don’t think is used anymore.

Use it a bit at work as it’s more a non scary knife than a few others I have that are larger.

Mayby off topic... but there is a knife involved.

Did some small tinkering in the hobby workshop.

Have some leftovers from Leatherman tools I have destroyed over the years.

Took some small parts from them and modified my Leatherman Micra.

Big? No.

EDC? Yes.

This was a test run and I used a set of keys that are totally wasted from over use. Will copy my good set and they will be finished better.

The lanyard ring is from a bigger tool and can be folded in completely if not used.

Does it work?

Perfectly!

Contemplating adding the garage door key.

Doesn’t your Friday night last a few months in winter 😉

So, there's no women types around on a Friday night where you are?

I'd move, and maybe do your tinkering on Wednesday nights.

😁

Not a model that is sold often due to how nice they are.....

Nothing that compares in my book.

These are a outstanding knife you just need one in hand to see the true allure and quality.

To get better you have to go custom which would double the price point.
$400-500 buys a lot of knife but none as sweet.
