I don't mean to sully this thread too much, but this might be interesting to fans of the Fallout video game and t.v. series franchise (not sure if there's much overlap in the Omega-NASA-Fallout Venn Diagram, though).

Clicking through the auction, I came to Lot #4050, the dollar bill signed by the Apollo 1 crew, Ed White, Gus Grissom, and Roger Chaffee, as well as backup pilot Rusty Schweickart and "one other unidentified signer," which looks to me like "Carl J. Bell." Naturally, I tried googling Carl Bell. Aside from a current NASA employee with that name, the only other thing I found was that there is a fictional character named Carl Bell in the "Fallout" video game series who died in flight after becoming the first person in space in the game's alternative timeline. I wonder if the game creators saw this bill and pondered who Carl Bell was.

Anyway... back to real life. Sorry for the diversion.

An employee from the period.

Well that's enough reason to stay on Win10 alone.

Or XP

Have an old PC downstairs, but no place to hook it up as game is online and most likely a poor video card and CPU. Belonged to my brother

I installed FO3 on a W11 machine last week. Aside from a compatibility issue with an Intel GPU that I solved by changing a file, it's working fine. This was with the GOG version though, so I guess it has been adapted to work with a newer OS.

I can play up to a point, but if too much action going on. The game will seize up and always at the same place

I read online about removing files, but as this is also my business computer. Not sure I want to dick around with adding and removing certain files.

I have the game and add ons, but have deleted it as I couldn’t play it

maybe I’ll avoid the super duper mart as that is a problem area

Well, it wouldn't be a Bethesda game without the bugs and the freezes 😁 FO3 and New Vegas are notorious for that. The first time I played it was on PS3, and once your save file reached a certain size, it was impossible to go to certain areas without the game dying. I guess the same can happen on PC.

I actually found a fix, but I'm not a coder and guy is explaining it as such, but still checking it out

TTW - Tale of Two Wastelands - it adds FO3 to NV and uses NV's engine to stabilize it

Trying to find more info

For some ... the space-flown Speedmaster 77740814 belonging to Andrei Borisenko (ISS Exp 27/28 in 2011) was probably "do-able".
