Hi! Just wondering if anyone knew of any solid gold men's Omega Megaquartz 32khz models (caliber 1310). I'm asking because I was surprised today to discover they made some men's size solid gold f300hz tuning fork models (there's one for sale here in 38mm: https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/j648290582/detail). I'm interested only in models with "Megaquartz 32khz" branding on the dial. Thanks!

They made a few variations of 18K F300 and Megaquartz, the 18K F300 are more common than the Megaquartz. Megaquartz models are indeed very rare, even in 32Khz form. When found they were selling for between £2000 and £5000 but that was before gold prices went silly.

Thanks, I gathered they're exceedingly rare. Some of the refs don't even turn up images when Googled!

Indeed they are, sadly the false aspersions perpetuated around quartz caused the demise of many of the few examples that where made, the melters pot saw the death or far too many. The TV dial is particularly special as they were gifted to the crew and senior support of Apollo- Soyuz, in fact the great Alexei Leonov wore his example as his daily watch until his death in 2019. Fantastic watches lost to history and the marketing machine that has become the demise of appreciation of quartz watches.

Needless to say my pristine F2.4Mhz 18K stardust will become the property of my Son in many (fingers crossed many) years to come.

The F2.4Mhz 18K stardust is a magnificent piece, and one of my end game pieces for some distant future. That's awesome that you have that, Kudos to you, Sir. Only a Quartz-Astron is in the same league. I guess in the meantime, my G.P. Megaquartz will have to do
