Originally I had cobbled up a beads of rice style bracelet but wasn't satisfied. Finally I think I've found a compatible bracelet that comes close enough to what my 600 compressor had from the factory.

Here's a picture of that model on it's original bracelet that I shamelessly glommed from the net:

And here is mine. It's a complete 60's Elgin bracelet and matching head links. Zero modifications needed 😀

Wadda ya think?

Was able to find a NOS dial for this one, a K-454 or aka Sputnik. Coincidentally, this is the same model worn by Pete Campbell in Mad Men.

One of several surprise watch gifts I have received from the love of my life over the years is this bronze edition and I must confess I truly love it 🥰

Looks excellent! I'm considering one to gift my brother for his wedding. He & fiance are both Army (he was recently discharged, she's still in). He has an affinity for vintage aesthetics and, naturally, loves a field watch. For the price, it's a banger (I have the standard mechanical version and love it).

Your photo might've just sealed the decision

I have just spent an afternoon searching for Hamilton chrono-matic serial numbers. Found a few, a dozen or more.

Preliminary conclusion is that the big cluster of serials ranges over roughly 1000 numbers, then some individual outliers.

I would welcome any contributions from chrono-matic owners here and would also share what I have found from the first effort.

Love to hear from you, either here or by PM.

Here’s my Chrono-Matic 11002-3 Panda. I love it so much but as I am consolidating to a 3 watch collection; it needs to find a new home.

For what must have been a rather small number made, in the hundreds not thousands, there are surprising variations. Here is mine:

Notice lumed hands but no lume dots on the dial, most seem to have the dots as @Orion78's.

I do have some Hamiltons, but I'd really like to own this; recognize it?

Kubrick's "2001", but didn't Hamilton also make some for retail sale afterwards?

Yes, that's correct, this was the first retail edition, the 'Odyssee 2001' the second edition is perhaps a bit more sedate, but the watch in the first image is from the movie itself, they did release something loosely based on it not that long ago. Here is the second edition of the 'Odyssee 2001'

I have a Navy dial Zenith that is very similar to the Odyssee 2001.

And this is the homage to the film watch that Hamilton released in the 00s:

I really like these, and your one has a particularly nice handset, some of them can look a bit clumsy.
If anybody's interested, CWC has genuine new old stock 7733 movement versions of the asymmetric fab 4 6BB RAF chronographs.

I wish it looked closer to the movie prop, which also seemed like a more thoughtful and utilitarian design (i.e. the digital numbers for UTC, instead of tiny dials).

But, I do enjoy that they are willing to have fun with their heritage and their long tradition of supplying movie prop watches.
