I used to own 3 Hamilton-branded Lemania 5100 chronographs, but they are long gone now.

So the only Hamilton I have left is a family heirloom: a 1940s Boulton

It's quite a small watch by today's standards. Just to give you an idea how small, here it is next to an Iraqi Air Force Breitling Navitimer chronograph.

I have a 1950 Gruen similar to that Boulton, very charming watches.

I have two Hamilton’s, a 992b railroader from 1945 that was worn for many years by a gentleman who worked the CNR (Canadian National Railway) between Winnipeg and Ontario.

And this 992b from 1940, the first year of production.

Both are housed in a Hamilton model 11 case. I love these because of the “speeding train wheel” motif around the bezel and caseback

You've spent too much time on the autosport.com forum, haven't you?

While the watch is practically unwearable on my massive wrist, it is indeed lovely to look at. I absolutely love the applied numerals.

I've always been Hamilton-curious. Never quite found the right combo. The 42mm chrono was too big, as are the pocketwatch-wristwatch conversions. Then I found the 40mm blue panda. Perhaps someday I'll go vintage chrono-matic.

Currently in the post on its way to me:

A nice mystery Hamilton that I believe was made for the European Market. A nice watch but I am unsure if it grabs me.

Not the same as your post but very similar and excellent, slim watches comparable in style and size with Omega 166.002 and 166.003

[edit: 13 March: Just to say that the stem on the left watch has been replaced and repaired since I took this photo]

Circa 1955 Automatic K-454 aka "Sputnik" today (the model worn by Pete Campbell on Mad Men).
