All of my Omega bracelets are very comfortable. I love the look of them too. I agree that a brown strap doesn’t look the best on a blue watch - have you tried turning the strap around the other way 😉

After almost a year of having it, the bracelet on mine has hit the sweet spot. It's extremely well-made, but the finish left something to be desired, so I get the turnoff for some.

I have that Omega NATO and find it to be a really good change up for the watch, so I recommend it.

All the above said, the last thing I got for the watch was the OEM rubber; holy crap is it awesome! It's really my preferred option of the three, not only for comfort, but for the contrast against the grey dial (the bracelet can cause a monochrome effect). That said, I've seen complaint by folks with the blue model who feel that the rubber has the opposite effect I described for my grey dial, a monochrome look.

I am not a fan of the brown strap. If none of the OEM options mentioned work for you, maybe try and source something like a sailcloth strap. That would look sharp.
That's a fantastic combo for the new 300M!

After wearing Rolexes for the past few years, I sold my last one (BLNR) at a nice profit earlier this year and bought a Seamaster. I've never been happy with the bracelet, and recently having bought a Speedy I realized (again) that Omega can make a comfortable bracelet if they choose to. So I got this nice strap from Holben's and put it on the SMP. I honestly don't think brown and blue go well together, but the wife says it looks great and her opinion matters more than mine. Or yours. LOL.
Still, I'm curious what the crowd thinks.

I purchased the current 2018 updates SMP with SS bracelet as it was a watch that I always wanted from childhood. After wearing if for almost 12months especially during lockdowns and working from home typing most day found the SS very uncomfortable. The clasp digs into my wrist, the edges of the bracelet are almost borderline sharp! On top of that it’s 171grams with the case back. As much as I love this watch I’m thinking of a tapered bracelet, lighter watch that you can wear all day and just forget about having it on your wrist - Rolex Datejust 41 smooth bezel with oyster bracelet.

I love the old planet ocean bracelet. They feel much more comfortable than other bracelets I had. Also, I do enjoy NATO straps, especially when i do some outdoor activities.

how can you say the current SMP SS bracelet is comfortable?? It’s super heavy and border line sharp very unrefined edges that catch your hair and dog into your skin with that massive clasp. Sorry but as much as I love the watch I think I’ll need to find something more comfortable.

Huh. I'm surprised to find this thread resurrected.

Since posting it, I found this very nice and reasonably priced strap that I now use with the seamaster.

Hi, thank you for your prompt response. I would prefer something OEM from Omega. I shall keep searching 😉

Then call Omega and ask what they have, and buy one. You don't need to "search". For example, my local jeweller is a Rolex dealer and they also sell Heuer and Cartier. They have the level of account with Omega where they can order me whatever accessories I want.

Hmmm. I have the pre-2018 model and find the bracelet to be very comfortable. Actually, between my Speedy Pro, Globemaster and SMPc, the Seamaster bracelet is the best by far. Was the bracelet substantially changed with the new model?

This is a good question I owed your model before going Hulk but I vaguely remeber it being more comfortable than the new SMP which I have too be interested in others answers

Go mesh.
Agree 100%!
I threw away an 1170 on my old Seamaster (before I knew the value) because it was uncomfortable.
I went mesh and now my straps sit and rot!

Oh wow! Thanks for sending thru the mesh options. Never seen a mesh on a SMP before apart from the new Bond watch. Great idea.

Thanks, I might do that. Call Omega and ask them what options they have. Cheers for the responses and tips guys.

I'm delighted with my Seamaster 300M bracelet. Just a personal opinion, but I think tool watches look best with a metal bracelet.

Agree with the modern SMPc bracelet, its a piece of crap. Lack of taper is vulgar and the links were way too long for my 6.3" wrist. It didn't even wrap around my wrist properly. The PUSH microadjustment is great - can't fault that. Glad that bracelet is out of my life.

i agree looks great. Just the non tapper and not refined edges on this models bracelet are not the most comfortable. My Oris Aquis 43.5mm wore much better even though it was slightly heavier and bulkier.
