Spend $60k on a watch, then board in zone 2... 😉

Overall a simple dial executed beautifully, and obviously targeted to someone well outside my paygrade!

I would have paid an extra $5000 just to have them size the date window correctly for the date.

looks like the date is stuck in-between 😜

Sometimes, even I cannot tell if people are being sarcastic. If you are, job well done! 😁

Naw the date is correct, it is so you can see what day comes next. If you pay that much for a watch your paying not to think about what day tomorrow is.

GMT home-time window was first thing that jumped out at me too, but then I saw the discount pricing and realized they obviously had serious cost constraints and removing material where they could must have been necessary.

Maybe a functional element too? Rolex adds the Cyclops for better date visibility... here they enlarged the window to let more light in?

Not a date window..

"an incredible dual timezone feature that included a home-time window at nine o'clock"... it's for seeing your 'home-time', same logic probably applies though. Wouldn't want a 'digital-like' home-time display on what clearly is a auto-mechanical timepiece and so showing an analog display was vital...

FWIW, I sure am happy to be an 'armchair quarterback' pointing out problems rather than actually creating things that b*st*rds like me critique with zero 'skin in the game'... 😉

Sorry. I do not want to think what the next hour is for 60k

We are not the target audience. Folks snapping up the PP Enamel World Time's are. My GMT Master, Duo Face Reverso and My I Phone do just fine.

To be fair, amongst their last few LEs were Nomos, Zenith, and Tag Heuer - all of which were considerably more affordable. That said, "LOL" at this one.

Yes, and those were great, but most of their collaborations are either watches that cost tens of thousands of dollars, or "artworks" that cost a whole lot more than most people, even those with lots of money, would consider spending. There is an enormous difference between the types of people who would spend $12,000 on a Rolex Daytona and those who would spend $40-60,000 on a watch; same with spending $1-2,000 on artworks/sculptures vs. $12,000 for an hourglass or $23,000 for a music box.

In other words, Hodinkee isn't very much for "regular" affluent people - those who buy watches - anymore; it's more and more for the oligarchs.

Overall, I like the look apart from the (to me) clumsy second timezone indicator window. Would it have been beyond their ingenuity to have made it a 24 hour jumping hour complication that just displayed a single hour?

Still, good luck to them.

Ahh, I see. I and here I'm always having to guess whether it is 10 or 11 that follows 9 🤔
