Great thread! I'd have picked the Connie, but it would have been a very close call.

My heart also beats more for Connie, but I have a few in good condition, and 2366, 2367 in much worse condition.

That is not possible, because the owner of this connie is not interested in a cash deal. I'm been chasing on this connie for a long time...

I can completely understand and agree that a sale wasn’t possible here. Often it’s only a trade for something equally special that can persuade a collector to part with a special watch

Well, I know that black dialed Connies are hard to find but IMO its harder to find a 30 Rg chronometre in this near mint condition because the lacquer from those years does not stand well over time.
This dial is perfekt! And it has the sought after roman indexes.
And the case has sharp edges which you could easily use to shave...
This watch is one of the best SS 30 Rg chronometres I have seen in the last 10 years...
But maybe I am biased 😉

has the "sought after Roman Indexes"...........Is this statement equally true for the precious metal varieties or exclusive to the stainless ? And is this a Market Thing or a numbers thing.

Either one would be a top example, my only quibble is that RG has no crosshair!!!::facepalm1::

I also prefer the version with crosshair!!!
I don't think I will collect a RG as I believe the weather here will definitely destroy it...

IMO its for both, gold and SS
It is the market - taste of potential buyers
there are dial variants which are much rarer
