Hi everyone,
i am looking for some information regarding this vintage Angelus chronograph. It is in a stainless steel case and features a black military-style dial.Thewatch is in exellent working condition.
Key details:
Case: stainless steel(step Case).
Markings: The case back has the number "054" engraved.
Accesories: it comes with an original leather pouch/case marked "15"
i would love to know more about the history of this specific model, especially if the "054" and "15" markings indicate a military or government contract.
any thoughts on its authenticity and potential market value would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for help!

The number on the back of the lug will match numbers inside the caseback, to indicate which mid-case goes with which caseback. It's not military. To put an approximate value on it, you should compare to recent sales of Angelus chronographs of the same size, which you didn't mention.

What version is it?
And what's the approximate price?

I don't know of version names or numbers for these. It's possible that people have given them names, but I'm not aware. For valuation, I only know what I have paid in the past for them, and I haven't been following recent auction sales. Also, my interest is more in the examples with plunger pushers, which I believe are more desirable.e.

Long story short - as I mentioned previously, I'd suggest running some comps yourself. Or just put it on eBay in a no-reserve auction and see how you do. Generally speaking, sellers need to figure out their own asking prices.

I sold a gilt dial with plunger pushers a few years back for exactly where I set the price and that was a bit of work to determine the number. This is a nice watch but more common. Might be easier to get comps in this one off EBay etc. Follow Dan’s advice.
