    Hi

Can I have your opinion on this Angelus Chronograph? I am a newbie in vintage world and would like to know what you think of the authenticity and condition of this watch.

Do you have pics of the case back? Inside and out, please.

Here you go. I guess the crown is not original!

This watch is from around 1940. The Art Deco logo font type (called Type D2 by
Christoph Öhm-Kühnle) is rarely found on a cal 215. The crown is a replacement, as you say, and the chrono reset pusher is a too-small replacement. Condition is fair. Interesting piece because of the dial, if the price is right. And much better than most newbie inquiries, I think. Good eye:thumbsup:

There is a link in this article to download a PDF of Öhm-Kühnle’s Angelus Collector’s Guide. Very useful if you’re into Angelus:

There is still some time for the auction to finish on eBay. But current bidding is at £160 which I think is cheap as I have seen many vintage chronograph going for much more than that .

Yes the only thing that matters on eBay is the last 5 seconds, of course. I would expect it to get into the £500-600 range... which I think would still be a decent value for the watch. Many vintage chronographs do indeed go for more but the value will depend on brand/model/movement/condition so you have to compare apples to apples.

You are nearly spot on although it went for a bit more £761.
