·I'm continuing my small collection consolidation today with up for sale an Angelus Chronodato. These are fantastic watches with a chronograph and day/date/month complications, IMHO they offer a lot of bang for the buck, especially in this age of inflated vintage watch values. Chronodato's were introduced by Angelus in 1942 and I think they were produced until the early 1950's.
My example here has a 38mm gold plated case with steel back and a lovely off white dial. The 45 minute chronograph has a four red stripes at three minute intervals, these were used back in the 1940's to help time one's telephone calls....today I find them most useful whilst boiling my eggs in the morning 😁
The case is 38mm gold plated with an Angelus signed snap steel back. Due to the added complications the watch is 15mm thick and as such quite impressive on the wrist.
The Angelus 215 movement is running well with the chrono and date functions operating correctly, although I have not had the watch serviced whilst in my possession.
I'm pricing this one to sell at €1550 net to me which will include world wide Track&Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or Paypal for established forum members only.
Any questions, just ask! 😀
