And……#2 finished could have had this in a week ago, well maybe not cause I got Covid but upon delivery I found they cut it wrong. They tried blaming me but I had them produce the measurements I sent (laser and tape measure x2) and they messed up over 1”. I didn’t freak out or anything why bother it was a mistake and since they cut one town over from me they were quick to get me a new one and the dude even helped me carry it upstairs. So this weekend I just need to put in the faucets and this nightmare is over. I did the vanity as well so this would have been a really nice watch. Oh well not the way to think about it but I can’t help it.
Bought a Galaxy DX 2547 Base Station, getting these is next to impossible as they have become as scarce as hen's teeth since COVID 19 with eBay prices going through the roof, not just for this one but pretty much all the CB and Export radios. These ones sell for almost double retail if you can find one second hand!
I scored this one for around 1/2 new RRP, so I am pleased.
My intention is to drop some Troy Radio channel extension kits, HF, and FM.
If you are into this sort of gear look them up online.
COVID has knocked the prices through the roof be they modern like this one or 40 and 50 year old Cobras or other popular brands.
Me I like Galaxies ( Ranger build these for Galaxy) even though they are reputed to have slight drift issues on some of the models but the Troy upgrade sorts all that and more.
I can't realistically listen to my old tube radio every day and expect it to last forever (it is a '55 Nordmende Tannhauser), so I bought a modern one! I'll turn on the older radio on special days.

What a sound... Really nice. Fun fact: when I researched it I found a post here on Of describing its merits (from @Tony C. I think 😉)
I often like to purchase flowers for the love of my life but they are so short lived so today I purchased a Flowering Cherry - Kojo no mai which I hope with care will last 🥰
Thank you Stuart, yes indeed, they are beautiful and like many things vintage, underappreciated, which is a good thing for us enthusiasts.
Happy Easter.
