Yes, I'm a sucker for almost any nicely designed and patinated vintage thing. But these may come in handy should my pet kangaroo get out of line.
Yet more things coffee related ... and so far today I've had over a litre of the wonderful, life-giving nectar ... It makes a really good cup with similar notes to a chemex yet more body - nowhere near as much body as a french press, though.
I picked up two 55 inch TV's from Costco, technically only one is mine, the other is for my roommate but the number of looks we got were pretty great. Nothing like side by side video games on a couple cheap 55inch 4k tvs hahah. signed, recently married, hopefully not soon to be divorced when she sees the wall of TV in the basement.
Was just browsing with my wife and ended up spending a ton on these. She's a keeper so it was worth it.
Hope to see more of your girlfriend pictures here. ( did I just write that ) https://omegaforums.net/threads/hopefully-pet-owners-understand-dedicated-to-pets.15475/
At the local auction rooms today, to bid for a 'Newlyn School' watercolour, and a couple of William Wyllie etchings - Got them all for 'pocket money' But also bought, spur of the moment a 'North & Sons Watford' car clock from 1939, out of a classic Bentley dashboard, complete with retaining ring It's mechanical, winds and sets perfectly, & so far keeping very good time, against my GMT Not quite sure what to do with it - A tad big for the wrist !
Wyllie, ( 1851-1931 ), was the most distinguished marine artist of his day, and his work is still in great demand Etchings are both artist signed, & numbered Sort of the equivalent of buying a perfect DON bezel, for the price of a mediocre business lunch for one Yet to decipher the watercolour signature, ( dated 1918 ), but any Cornwall / Devon artist, from that period / associative circle is potentially very interesting
love these things! I guess you need a bicycle to appreciate one, so if you don't ride.... you won't understand.
I purchased an electric razor (arc 5) because I can't feel the left side of my neck after my surgery. It is a very odd feeling trying to shave with a regular razor and I am afraid to cut myself.
Put down a deposit on a classic MX5……collecting on Sunday…intended as my new 'run about' between Manchester, and our other House by the Sea. Incredibly low mileage, one owner, perfect service history, stunning upholstery, & immaculate bodywork Possibly the most fun one can have, with your trousers on !……and I have owned XKE's
Bought a Blackberry Keyone today! I have no idea how relevant my buy is but I would love to hear from Keyone owners! Quite a peculiar choice I suppose, given how apple and samsung's market share.
This represents the pinnacle and probably the end of my vintage Japanese guitar collecting. I started in 1987, maxed out with 14 guitars around 2005 and slowly got down to 10. Buying this means at least 2 or 3 more will have to go (once i've slightly cannibalised one to swap out the maverick pickup and replace with an original)....But my ain't she purty? Really rare. This one was hiding in the Australian bush! Arrives next week!
