An Amalgam of Watches

This post doesn’t really fit a category since it crosses several brands. I’m not really interested unless it is a super deal, but this group of watches is being offered locally and consists of: an Omega Deville blue dial, a 1970 Rolex Air-King, and a 1990s Brietling Chronograph. Not my watches and I don’t know the guy…just a listing on Facebook.

Package all together $5500. That is a bucket ton of money for me but price is surely negotiable. Says he’s trying to buy a first truck for his son. He has other pics, but I’d have to request better quality.

For the mental exercise, if all in pretty top shape, is the price reasonable?

That translates to £4500 in my money.

I’d say £400-500 for the DeVille.
£2000-2200 for the Air King
Then £1000-1400 for the Breitling (kind of a guess, I don’t know the first thing about Breitlings other than I bought a fake one when I was a kid that I kinda liked).

So overall it’s priced slightly above market value I’d say. Crucially however, it’s also only worth anywhere near that if someone happens to want that exact combination of watches. No point buying for for the Air King and flipping the rest as there’s no meat left on the bone and you’re creating work for yourself.
