Swedish Midsummer, and a pair of watches!

Greetings Forum Friends!

Today is one of the most important days (and nights..😁) in Sweden - The Swedish Midsummer!

And why not celebrate this with my latest purchases?
It is a pair of Certina Blue Ribbons from ca 1977.
And the fun stuff with this one is that Volvo ordered these to
give to all the employees to celebrate the 50th anniversary!

And that was in the good old days when Volvo was Swedish Volvo,
our once proud Swedish manufacturer!!

Not to expensive, so I got two, and learn to compare….🙄

We had a summer house in Ahus - down on the baltic coast. I'm assuming your an ex-Volvo west coaster?

I lived and worked in Copenhagen some 25 years ago, I had "morning coffee" at one of the places I worked it consisted of Gammel Dansk and buttered rolls, no coffee to be had. 😀

Here in Chicagoland the summer is just getting going … we were joking about this midsommar concept, we always fear the crap weather summers, as we shivered by the fire as a dense fog rolled in off the lake. We had been waiting for strawberry moonrise.
