I think I’ve just found my grail Speedmaster (the modern one). Before getting this I’ve read everything that I could found and watches every possible video. When I first saw the Speedmaster Appllo 8 at the Omega AD I thought that it is not the watch for me, I was waiting for the Apollo 11 50th Ann. Speedmaster. When I was offered the Apollo 11, I visited my AD and I didn’t like the 50th Ann. Speedmaster: Mooning astronaut was too much for me. Back to Apollo 8: I tried it again, watched the Apollo 8 documentary from YouTube and I was totally hooked. Special 1869 movement, special dial, the story behind, part of the DSOTM series.... This is one of the favourite modern Speedmaster IMO. I love this stunning watch. Now I have the Moon on my wrist!! We’ll see you on the other side!

It is one of my favorite Apollo watches! I have yet to purchase one (I plan to at some point...), but it will find a home in my collection! Congratulations on finding YOUR grail watch!

Bravo, v e r y nice one. This dark side version and the meteorite dial from Soyuz are my favorite ones.. hope will be part of my collection one day... 😝

Agree, it's a very cool rendition of the Speedmaster.....bigger ceramic case and very clever treatment of the movement. Not cheap (same price as the 50th) but it certainly is a looker. My only gripe is it should have come on deployant buckle but I suspect cost was an issue, but at least you can order a DP buckle and new strap if you need to.

They were hard to get when they first came out but are generally available now, you can even buy them off the Omega website (at least in the US). In the US they are $9,750, not sure in other countries.

It is not a limited edition, in the sense that many Omega-watches are, nor numbered edition. Price is 9500€, but you can get some reduction. At the moment you can find this watch very easily.
