The "S" on your Scubapro watch is the same on a diving jacket by a company called Scubapro. Are these one and the same?

Yes, one and the same. I don't believe there's ever been a definitive answer as to who made them for Scubapro. Here's a cool ad someone posted several years ago:

Thanks. I wonder why Scubapro ceased making a mechanical dive watch? It seems to me the could have been one of, if not, the only company to have their own mechanical diver. But I suppose the allure of a dive watch has been overshadowed by tech. Shame imo.

Difficult to say, but I don't think they sold a ton of them so probably just economics. There are also 6306 Seikos with the Scubapro logo that are very collectible (and often faked)

I take it these Seiko's are vintage? Vintage watches turning out to fakes or frankenwatches is what ruined my hope of finding a nice vintage diver. All that I came across had one shady aspect or another.

Yes, the Scubapro 6306 was circa '78-'80 if memory serves me correctly

Finally, I got the CREPAS mesh! It is quite nice and superb quality.

It has microadjustments too.

I have an orange ISOfrane coming tomorrow, according to FedEx, and will buy an OMEGA NATO in the next couple weeks.

Are you listening Omega?

They are. The new METAS PO's have it. And of course the SM300 as well.

The only let down is the extra links in my new mesh have pins instead of screws. 🙁

Are you wearing a Flash ring? If so, does your costume shoot out like in the cartoon?

I am indeed! For some reason it will not open. I am going to try WD40 later.

In all seriousness, I can run fast. That was something I excelled at in school. It particularly came in handy when I was chased by bullies.

You're fast but are you furious?

Orange ISOfrane is on the Scuba 500. WOW factor just went up! Excuse the bandages.

Wow, 4 years! I don't know how you did it. You certainly deserve it. Thanks for posting. I've not heard of this brand before. It's good to hear about new ones.
Do you like the black rubber strap in the picture with the black/orange NATO? That style is on an Oris. I wish they were more adjustable.

Thanks! That rubber strap in the picture you referred to is an OEM. The clasp has a flip lock and push button release. I do not mind it, but the ISOfrane is tough to beat because it does not breath like the ISOfrane. I reckon the two ISOfrane's and the mesh will get the most PR followed by a NATO.
