I think the size of the crown on the 40mm Heritage model as well as on the 36mm versions.
So it would have made good sence to down size the crown just a bit for the 36mm.. I might agree with you that a smaller crown would have been a better fit!

It's 35mm sans crown and guards iirc . . .

Quality is nearly equal the Longines Heritage at half the price!

What I meant to way was that I think the same size crown is used for both the 40mm and the 35mm Longines Conquest.

Quality is nearly equal the Longines Heritage at half the price!
It may be so in terms of movement, materials etc. But I think Longines has a higher brand value today, and a better and more interesting heritage of vintage watces.

Probably 6 -7 years ago. Discussed it with another Mod at the time.
He said yeah it's nice , but it's not vintage 😁
Still think it is very nice black with pink hardware.
