L1.611.4.75.2 be the reference of the watch.
    It has an acrylic glass,
    an ETA 2824,
    sized at 35mm,
    stainless steel case,
    realatively big crown,
rose gold index with multiple facets,
    easy and cheap to service,
retailing at roughly $1.150 or €1.050
.. I have an itch for this!!

Anybody care to comment, or may have had the chance to try the watch?
My only worry is the size. I have a small wrist, but modern timepieces always seem alot smaller to me, especially in the 35-38mm range.
Some Longines vintage movement parts can be hard to find. Surely wont be a problem with the ETA 2824 in the future.

As homage models go, it looks nice, and, other than the date location, is pretty faithful to the original.

I got mine in a trade with a chap in Asia, excellent fit and finish, especially the enamel medallion!

Wound up as trade bait in another deal about 6 months later, size wasn't an issue but as Tony noted the date placement took some getting used to. . .

As you say rose gold toned hands and indexes are a nice touch, overall a solid value imho

To be clear about the date placement, there were vintage Longines models with the date at 12, but not the Conquests that were housed in that type of case, or with those style markers. I do think that they did an excellent job with this new case, at least the photos suggest as much.

I do own one and love it. Size is just perfect on my 7" wrist. Date too corresponds to the vintage Flagship model. It's a great watch indeed.

I think it has a great value for the money. What is also holding me back is that I find it somewhat lazy and unromatic to buy a heritage model, rather than getting the 'real' vintage watch.. When I say lazy I am thinking of when the watch needs a service..
Some Flagship models did have a date @ 12.

    Wristshot(s) please! ::popcorn::

And the Flagship model I was referring to is this one that I bought some time back as my birth year watch 1961 c A great movement in very good condition indeed.

Again, at the risk of being pedantic, the original Flagship models with the date at 12:00, like the one shown above, had different style cases.

    Not bad, though.

At least they seem to have gotten most everything else correct besides the date window. Wish it didn't have it... ugly white on black...
Some examples (mine :)) of Conquests with the date @ 12, but in a different style and case:

I'd be proud to own both or either. ;-) But...my wife would abscond with one, so I'd almost HAVE to have both!

My daughter has now permanently taken the black dial Conquest shown above from my watch box. :D

Vintage or vintage looking watches in the 33-39mm sizes seem increasingly popular with young ladies now. Some in the watch community were trying to call them "boyfriend" watches, but really its more like Parents' watches. ;) My daughter borrowed my old Omega dress watch once and thought she damaged it as it stopped working. She wasn't sure how to wind it properly...so let it be a fashion statement all day.

I totally agree with you. The malady of knowing so little that doesn't concern them, if you call that way, is also the beauty of this age!

Nice, but the date window looks a little crooked compared with the rectangle painted around it on the dial.

Size of the crown put me off when I tried one at a airport a year ago.

What's it with heritage models from brands and crowns more than 2-3 times the usual size. The human hand or finger hasn't changed it 40 years

Check this one from RADO also... ( @peatnick s picture )

I think the size of the crown on the 40mm Heritage model as well as on the 36mm versions.
So it would have made good sence to down size the crown just a bit for the 36mm.. I might agree with you that a smaller crown would have been a better fit!
Nice Rado, how big is it? I like the crown guards!
