Any thoughts on this one? Unfortunately it has not pictures from the inside. It stands for 2000€ on Ebay. I case I get pictures from the inside I will add this. Not sure what reference it is. I have only screenshots from Ebay. https://www.ebay.de/itm/18653514846...2yKQfPrQnW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY What do you think it would be worth? (Please note that prices in the US seems to be lower but getting it to Europe is costly).

I know you try your best to help.
I keep getting similar answers asking for better pictures. Just putting an ebay link in this forum is not allowed. But as this comes from ebay screenshots is all can provide. Pics are on ebay. Maybe the forum should find a better solution for people like me seeking advice on watches on the market. I really don’t know what to do.

Save the pictures to your photo folder then add them here......

Not many here will click on links......and by adding the photos here(not screenshots) we not only help you but all that read and study this thread in the future.

eBay is not the best place to be shopping for a vintage watch if you lack the experience to properly evaluate a watch for purchase. If you are patient, you can find a good vintage Omega at a fair price by purchasing one here on OF in the private watch sales forum: https://omegaforums.net/forums/private-watch-sales/
If you still want to purchase something from eBay, then select from the watches recommended here:

Thank you. I am aware of both and looking at it since a long time. Howver, ebay recommendations are mainly for watches in the US. As I am in the EU, import taxes make most of it unattractive. And in the private sale nobody wants to sell a nice 168.005 pie pan dogleg connie :-(…

Welcome
The Ebay app does not allow you to save the picture (at least on the iPad). It simply does not work other than doing a screenshot…

The pics are blurry but from what we can see it is a nice enough watch.
However, while the medallion looks very good, the case has been polished and the lugs have lost their edge facets.
Therefore €2000 seems to be very expensive for a gold capped 14381.

Sometimes it is the picture that’s not included by the OP that is the important one.
If this picture is of the papers included with the watch then something is awry.
A 14381 could not have an original 24,4m serial movement.
( and of course the box is not correct for a late 50s/ early 60s Connie)

Thank you. I asked for pictures from the inside (which I am not even posting here…) and they are completely useless. I am out. To many things seem strange to me.

How about this gold capped Constellation 168.005 that dsio has added to his recommended vintage Omega watches for sale on eBay thread: Rare 14K/SS Omega Constallation Pie Pan Automatic Date Silver Dial Gent's Watch | eBay The auction ends in about 9 hours. I understand that you're in Germany and that you would prefer to buy within the EU to avoid import duty and taxes, but perhaps it's better to focus first on getting a good quality example which this one appears to be. You're only going to have to pay the import duty and taxes once. The watch could be with you for a lifetime.

Are you fixed on no date and gold cap?

There is a cool SS 168.005 in the private sales from a reputable seller, with BoR, although sent from Canada, so same story around import taxes.

Actually 168.005 would be my preference and steal with onyx index.
