I saw this seamaster online, to me it looks like the face is starting to fade, could this be to old age or possible damage? The seller wants $420 USD, should I hold off and wait for another to pass by? Thanks, I'm new to this whole vintage world so any advice would be great. (I may have added to many photos...)

to me that looks like damage -> see how the color is inconsistent...what did he do, try clean it with a sponge, and get most of the sealing coat off?
i would practice patience and wait. something much better is bound to come along...
