Someone mentioned Speedmasters in an earlier post. 1975 is my birth year also and I wouldn’t look any further than an automatic Speedmaster. There are a few options available. This article, as most will know, is a must read for mid 70s Speedmaster enthusiasts!! http://www.chronomaddox.com/c1045_in_detail.html#Speedmaster_c.1045_timeline

T
hese watches aren’t cheap but I think their design is timeless while also being of the 70s era. Below is my 176.0016.

Wow, that’s a beautiful Speedmaster. I didn’t know know they made them in those different cases. I’ve only seen them in the traditional round case.

Below is a link to another article that covers the Speedmaster Mark series of watches but no doubt this subject is covered in far greater detail here on OF if you use the search function. Just to add that the Mark II is a manual (same cal 861 as Speedmaster Pros from late 60s to early 90s) but the Mark III, IV, V are automatics. They are fun watches and great to collect!! Pics below of a 176.009 and a 176.0012 (case and glass/ bezel to be fitted)!
