I know the dealer and he is very reliable.
We agree the price is a little high, but it is being sold by a dealer.

According to the OP the watch is NOT being sold by the dealer. That is an old link. The seller bought the watch from a dealer two years ago and is re-selling it. IMO, when you buy from a dealer, it's unlikely that you will be able to break even when you sell the watch down the line.

As for the watch, there is nothing wrong with some polished case lines and missing lume on the dial and the minute hand if the watch appeals to you and the price is right. Personally I wouldn't feel a need to jump on that particular watch for the asking price.

i find the watch generally in order. the facets are still sharp. my similar cb66 has original
shiny look case but not polished. with the bracelet part of the deal, the price is just fair.

Hi all,

Just wanted to give you an update on the CB. I bought the watch two months ago, and am still very happy with my purchase. It makes me smile every day when I take it out of its box and put it on my wrist 馃榾. I want to thank you all for sharing your knowledge with me. This really helped me with purchasing this wonderful watch.

The seller is a great guy who has an incredible collection of watches. He bought the Speedmaster from the jeweler (to which I refered earlier in this thread) only six months earlier before selling it to me (so not two years, as mentioned earlier). It actually still had six months warranty at the time of buying. This gave me the extra bit of confidence to actually buy the watch. I paid the same amount as the seller did earlier that year (I have the receipt in my possession). All in all, I am very satisfied 馃榾.

Well done, expensive but nice. The touch up of the luminous with correct hue pigment is possible, without intervening anywhere else. It will be Luminova, but you can ask for the lume to be more diluted.
