Advice on possible redial

Hello all.

Looking for advice on if this is a redial on the Connie.

Something seems off but would like a more experienced opinion.

you are right to be concerned

The straight 'n' in Constellation is the big give away, as this style didn't arrive for several years after this watch was produced.

Yeah, the M in automatic I thought was different.

Very little of the upper font is correct.

Plus - Depending on the production year, most 14381s also have the ‘missing text’ dials

Again, if you spot the black-dial Constellation, be extra careful.

One of the best ways is to buy it right here in this forum 🤩.

Looks to be 1960 model

Some very early (58/59) models had full text (and chronometre spelling) and some very late models (62/63) had full text (with chronometer spelling)
But both are uncommon for this reference.

In between they shouldn’t have the full text dial.

And as above, always assume a black dial is a redial and then go about trying to prove it’s genuine, rather than the other way around.
