Hi everyone,

First thanks OF for the space.

I have my eyes on the following Omega De Ville Chronograph. It is from a dealer and is serviced with one year warranty. Price is around US$3500.

Some more information if helpful:
  • Circa 1968
  • 35mm Gold Plated Case; 19mm lugs
  • Caliber 861
Aside from the fact that it looks quite heavily polished, does everything look correct? Any red flags?

Any views or advice will be very much welcomed! Thanks very much!

I could not tolerate that case/crown/pushers, especially at the asking price. I'm sure you can do better.

Heavily polished is too kind, more like heavily worn.

The only real plus is the recent service.

Pass and wait for one with a better case.

I’m with @Dan S — the dial is nice but the worn-out components make this not such a good deal. A steel case or solid gold is what you’d want with this model.
