Advice on Omega Constellation (1963, 168.005 Silver Dial, Cross-hair)

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in buying this Omega Constellation which I've included some photos below. Any general thoughts on the condition of the watch?

The only thing that I have noticed is that the cross-hair seems slightly misaligned (cutting into the Omega symbol unevenly). I am not sure if this is a manufacturing fault as I've seen some other cross-hair dials with the same cosmetic, but wanted to put it out there if it's something of concern.

Welcome @klee0021

Well done for asking here before buying.

Heavily polished case with redialled dial.

I dread to think what the seller was asking.

As @Dan S says - one to avoid.

That Mediterranean blue hint you mentioned is spot on. It looks far richer than the stock photos suggested.

Looks like a nice watch. My guess is that the photos are hiding some slight bubbling on the dial, so I doubt it is what I would call flawless. But that kind of minor degradation is very common, and this one may be better than most. It's just hard to tell without better photos. Still, my gut feeling is that it's going to look great on the wrist. And the case looks really good also.

Much better @klee0021.

Yes, the watch has had a life and shows a few battle scars - but it is a 60+ years old watch.

Good looking dial and a decent case - as @Dan S says, it will look good on the wrist.

Papers are a nice bonus.

Were there any movt or case back pics?

I thought the same thing.

"Flawless" is always an interesting word choice in dial descriptions. Really, it just invites you to look for flaws!
