Advice on eBay watch?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

This 5585 is up for sale. I’ve asked for movement pictures which have been added. In the same email I asked the seller to explain the dial discrepancies as he claims it’s original. No answer.

Currently at £396. I just can’t live with those minute markers so I’m going to pass. Or am I being too anal? Guess I’m looking for an expert opinion if I indeed should pass.

Is this even worth the gold value?

Helpful translation:
"Whilst I have not timed it to the second..."
equals
"I have timed it, and it loses 10 minutes a day."

But it does very importantly come from a smoke free and pet free home. 😁

As noted above, many concerns - not worth the purchase in my opinion

They described the crown as original but not the dial. Tricky wording that's definitely a red flag.

Excellent point. I can't believe I missed that.

Another thing worth looking out for is a balcony-free home. Balconies present a greatly increased risk of severe shock. It is very common for collectors to fumble their watches while photographing them on their balconies. I would avoid any seller who does not disclose whether or not he/she has a balcony.

When I first saw this thread title, thought someone was asking advice on Baywatch. I was going to say, "AVOID." Unless you're German, as I hear David Hasselhof is VERY popular there.
