Hi
I have acquired a S105.003-64 omega speedmaster from the wife of the late owner who received it for his 21st birthday in January 1965 and would appreciate any advice as to keep it original or to restore and service

Indeed…The bracelet is from the 80s too.

Can you post some other pictures?case, caseback,
Movement?
It will help to tell you what’s original or not.

This needs to be handled by a specialist. Where do you live?

Do you want to sell or keep it and wear it?

Hi
Thank you for your reply, a previous reply reports that the face isn't original and the strap is 80s therefore as a newbie I would appreciate all the advice given. I shall forward images asap but now here are some that aren't that clear ps can you give me any information to the markings under the serial number

Personal i dont think its a redial BUT your pictures are still to fuzzy to tell for sure.

So, if you want any further help from us please take better pictures. Maybe ask somebody to help you out with better gear etc.

cheers
Oli

Agree with @Concer. From those terrible pics it isn’t making me think the dials been repainted but much better pics are required. Even if original, it’s not attractive as the lume is very poor.

The bracelet is modern - 80’s at the earliest but may only be 10 years old.

As above, I'm not seeing a redial there, but it isn't in great shape either. A service, some work to the hands maybe and a crystal polish and it will look a lot better. The dial plots will always be a bit muddy but it looks in decent shape otherwise

The phone is not the problem, you are just focusing on the background instead of the watch. Take a bunch of photos from different angles and distances in various lighting. Delete the bad ones, crop and post only good ones. You have the opportunity to have some of the world's foremost Speedmaster experts look at your watch and give you their impression, but they might only look once. Don't waste it.

I should keep that watch in my hand, the quality of the photos doesn't help.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I see a bevel on the lug, which shouldn't be on a -64.
Do I only see it?
