Hello

I recently bought a set of hands for my Ed White.
The hands just arrived today and the minute hand is quite bendt, much more than i culd see in the original picture from the seller. Also the lume is cracked along the hand.
Im guessing its not posible to bend back the hand without all the lume falling out?
These are NOS hands for the watch.
What do i do?

Thanks Enyways

Can you return them for a refund? Unless they were very cheap, I’d do that.

FIFY.

I have not contacted the seller yet but it says "Returns not accepted"
I paid 950usd with postage.
The items were packaged terribly wrapped in some bubblewrap and tape inside an envelope samller than my hand.
This is a highly reputable seller on ebay and im wandering what to do.
Also i been looking for good quality hands for a long time now.

Thanks

If the flaws were not visible in the listing, you may be able to force a return if this was an eBay sale.

I don't know what "extremely expensive" is for you, but it's not like there is a massive market availability for attractive 50 year-old hands. And since you have been looking around, you probably already have a good sense of what is available. You have to pay what you have to pay.

Despite the lume crack, there also seem to be cracks in the paint. Doesnt look NOS for me at all.

I had these hands, but you are like 1 year to late. Price was in the same territory ( https://omegaforums.net/threads/nos-tritium-speedmaster-hands.113608/ )

Try a return using ‘not as described’ as the reason, I think sellers have to accept that and pay for return shipping. These were not as described I would say.

If they were poorly packaged could they have been damaged in transit?
Whether the shipping co would argue they should have been better protected is another matter but ultimately I’d argue it one for you to be concerned with. I’d push for a refund and let the seller pick it up.

Or given the difficulties in your search are you asking if they can be repaired anyway? If so, I’m sure they can be improved but at a grand, I’d return

These are the two other hands that came, there look very good but the hour hand is bad.

If it’s an ebay purchase. You have all the rights, seller has very little, no matter what he says.

You will have no problem returning them.
Open a case and let it progress.
Don’t be scared to speak to ebay if you get any trouble.

Ultimately, do you want to return them or are you waiting for someone to validate a decision to keep and repair them??

To be honest i dont know what to do, i have to return it as the minutes hand is bad, but i like the others and the colour.
I just been looking for so long and i thought i was finally done searching.
But i know i wuld be angry with myself if i just kept it as is.

Remove any doubt or regret, file for a return with eBay and keep looking. You want to happy with your watch for as long as you own it and a bad hand will always be an irritant.
