Advice needed re: 70s Constellation gold bracelet

Hi all,

I've worn this Constellation (a gift) for 9 years or so, and just a few years back found what I believe is the corresponding bracelet used. Unfortunately, it's just about one link short to fit my wrist.

I live in Japan, but am not having success finding a shop that has a link they could insert for me for this model.

The band reads:
Gold plated L 20 microns and stainless steel
No. 12 1068

What are my best options for finding a repair shop/dealer to have the correct link and put it in for me?
Or could I try to find it on my own and insert at home?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

One option might be sourcing a stainless steel link and getting it plated. I have seen ads from companies that do this work and claim that they could match it with existing parts.
I have no idea how good this would turn out but it might be an option if you can t find a gold plated link.

Thanks very much, lillatroll.

Is it unrealistic to find a gold-plated link on ebay or expect that some servicer may have one in stock?

You might try Cousins in the UK or Ofrie in the USA. Of course eBay is an option too. As with everything it' just a case of looking regularly.

The removable links for these seven row bracelets are interchangeable, so you don't need one specifically for a 1068.

However I don't think the end links you have are correct for your watch, they look like they are for a Seamaster Cosmic.

Thanks for the info X350.
I'm not sure that it is the correct bracelet, but I'm pretty sure it at least fits.

A clasp extender is probably exactly what I need--thanks for showing me!
