Advice needed: Purchasing a Speedmaster 105.003-63

I wonder what this watch will go for this time next year... not that I disagree with the assessments, but these are going to be scarcer and scarerer... this time last year, you could get a decent ed white with box and papers for about that price..

It may be cynical as I buy watches to wear them, but that was the only reason I met with this gentleman.... Still, considering its condition, I doubt it'll appreciate quite so much by next year. After all the work it'll require, I think the asking price is still too high to be a good investment

I actually kicked the tires on this one as well. Ultimately decided to pass due to the overall "tired" look that others have mentioned.

I don't disagree @abrod520, but it's becoming about availability (as a wise member mentioned to me not long ago).

..and what is that DO63 bezel about? That's all I can see now when I look at the pics!

It's even stranger in person. It isn't raised.... Looks exactly like one of the lume dots on the 12-o'clock index, it's perfectly round and almost exact same color too. I wonder if someone way back decided 63 was really important, and placed a small plot there.
