Advice needed on a Speedmaster Professional 145.012-67

I have been looking for a 145.012 for a while now and I have found this one:

I need advice on the state of the dial, half of the hour markings lacks tritium paint more or less. Do you think its worth to buy it because of this (€7000 is asked for it)? The rest of the watch looks very good as far as I can see, I have compared the pictures with ones in the Moonwatch Only book and the watch seems to be genuine. The serial number starts with 25006XXX (according to the seller), from what I can see in Speedmaster101 site it is a valid serial number for a 145.012-67. I am new to collecting vintage watches so I need all the advice I can get from you guys! This might be a stupid question, how can it come that the hour indices partially looses its tritium paint the way this watch has lost it?

The price might seem to be a bit high, however, I live in Sweden and the watch comes from the Netherland which means that I do not have to pay 25% in VAT for it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hans

I think the watch is very attractive, dial is nice, bezel is nice, case looks to be unpolished, can't see the crown to tell if it's correct. Movement picture and inside caseback would be nice to see, but the price is a bit high as it does not come with the original bracelet.

I like it too, from what we can see; unpolished case to my untrained eye is cool, looks to me like it was re-lumed at some point, and it came off in strips on a couple of the markers. I wouldn't let that stop me from buying. Caseback? Movement? Last service? would be nice to see the two sides, the crown head on, etc. I'm not making any comments on price.

That bezel is great - it'd have to be re- (re-) lumed, but could end up being a nice watch

I think it is quite pretty...without the original bracelet though price is a little high... I think i would be in at 5-5.5k
I recently got a 145.012 head only for 4.2 K usd ... My dial most of tritium gone so op watch should be more..
These things go up quite quickly though...may be a bubble is about to burst ???

Oh yea you did not mention service... I for sure would not pay top dollar if no recent service... Otherwise figure another 400-700 used cost to u

Thank you all for your advice 😀 I have written to the seller asking for when service was done. It comes with a non-original steel bracelet, I have asked the seller what version it is. Here comes some more pictures of the watch.

They are not of the highest quality but I hope they will give you a more complete picture of the condition of the watch.

Again, thank you all for your input 😀

wow, that case and caseback are just superb, movement looks clean also. This watch was handled with tender loving care by its prior owner(s).

Nice watch, good Case, Bezel and CB, clean movement, but the Dial has lost to much lume.😲
No Bracelet , so i think 7000 € is to much for this watch.😟

Well, the watch comes with a non-original bracelet, I have asked the seller about what type it is, I am waiting for their answer.

A Speedy you can wear on leather or you have the original Bracelet , but not a non- original Bracelet. 🙁
The question for me is.....do you like the Dial? 😕
This is the first i'm looking for....Case and Dial must be as good as possible.😀

I don't know how you can tell the condition of the case from those pictures. I'd want to see side shots to assess properly at that price.

I have a 1039/516 bracelet, bought it from OF a month ago or so, thought that it might come in handy some day 😀
Well, I asked for advice on the dial, to be honest I would have liked it more if it have had all the lame intact.

I do not have access to any shots directly from the side, I will ask the seller if I can have any.

About the lume, if I buy the watch, where can I get it re-lumed and what do you think the cost for it could be?

Here's a stupid quiestion for you. Please be gentle.
How do one see if the case is polished or not? 😟

Look at the edges, which should be sharp, and the case sides, that should be flat and brushed, so evenly and smoothly you wonder how they did it.
