I also think they dit that, and I have never seen a 2400 with a blank caseback. A picture would be very appreciated. And a worlds first - I think.

No engraving has been made to my knowledge. The watch belonged to a man in the family.

Hi Felsby, Very interesting picture. 😀 The picture of the caseback is not good, but it seems that the slots are quite shallow. The surface looks quite rough compared to the Suveräns I have seen.

Look at the depth of your slots compaired to one of mine and look at the length of slots into the caseback. And the cirkular marks on yours. Looks like it have been grounded down Imho.

Yes, I have wondered if this was the case - it might explain the circular ridge on my caseback. But these casebacks are rather thin - do you think there is material enough for removal of the Suverän logo?

I vote for polished down caseback as well, those slots look much shallower.

Don't know why someone would want to remove the Swedish text thought but could have been an engraving there also, or the watch was sold to another market than Sweden and therefore could not have the Swedish text left.

Just speculations from my side, but I would bet my money on a polished down 2400 Suverän caseback rather than an never seen (here on the forum at least) exception from Omega.
