I think your continual smart-assed, defensive replies are not gaining you any friends.
Oops, I did not pay attention to the sender. If your referring to friends like you, then I don't need any enemies you asshole.

Your post tells me you aren't planning on forming any friendships on the MB. In fact, I doubt you have any friends!

The watch is back together and running nicely.

Thanks for all the support (for those who gave it!)

I'm impressed you got it running again. These are difficult to work on if you're starting out and you certainly persevered.👍 If you're not at the moment, then you should be really pleased with yourself.

Of course, it probably needs a good clean, oil and set up now but leave that till you've got some more hours under your belt.

Nicely done, Chris

If pointing out that you're being a douche bag is baiting you, then I'm guilty as charged.

Thank you for the kind words! To tell the truth, I was more impressed with the fact that I didn't mess up cutting the new stem. I couldn't understand why it would be so difficult to put the watch back together - and then I saw the experienced watchmaker who has the entire watch in one pile (not really a pile) in front of him. That - would take me a very long time to sort out. I very carefully separate the pieces into individual watchmaker cases based on the removal step. So the correct screw stay with the correct bridge, etc. I've attached a pic of the bumper when it was disassembled. That, and lots of pics showing spring placement, location of screws of different lengths, and I managed it ok.
In fact - it was a lot of fun. My wife tried to get me to act in amateur theatre once, and I really prefer working on a watch by myself to being on stage!!

Thank you again for your very kind words!

As a beginer this is what you should do!

After having taken apart and put together several movements of the same kind (3 hands non automatic ones to begin with), you will have an intuitive understanding of each part, its place and its function, and will no longer need the pics. And then you will service some other automatics with different automatic systems, then maybe some chrono, and so on...

Baby steps...
Right now a chrono seems impossible!
I'm getting a good feel for the basic watch - but for some reason the keyless works vex me! Without pictures it may as well be a logic puzzle - even though I know what it does and how it does it.
There is so much to learn!!!
