·So I've made a few custom straps over the years with a strapmaker who's reliable and easy to work with, and when it came to a vintage dress chrono I recently bought from @khmt2 , it was time to revisit the strapmaker.
After some discussions in July, he suggested a somewhat more unusual colour, and 6 weeks later, the strap was ready.
It's always fun to visit him in his workshop, and admire the stuff on his workbench
He had some pretty colourful skins
And some very interesting other varieties too - I like the blue.
Another blue strap that was almost done.
And finally, the new dark purplish blue strap on my UG chrono, meant to match the blued hands.
It's an interesting colour which I hadn't tried before, and generally it looks black or navy blue in indoor lighting, but outdoors, the purple hues emerge, and I think it complements the RG tones and the blued hands well. Really looking forward to wearing this to the office next week.
