路Leather punch, I bought mine via Amazon years ago
This. I鈥檝e been using the one I bought from Tandy Leather (remember that?) 30-years ago. Use the smallest diameter at first, then work up to the next one if it isn鈥檛 big enough. I have to do this with almost every strap I buy.

路I use this one. It rotates when you apply force down. It is handy but you need to remember put something like paper magazine under as it may create a hole all the way below, was bought from Amazon in 2020.
