I know many people here don’t always go for pristine looking time pieces. They like the fact that a watch shows signs of use. It gives the watch that uniqueness. Watches are tools after all, made to be used, so being a little marked, scratched, even bashed is no bad thing. It all adds to the charm.

With that in mind someone might be interested in this Aqua Terra currently available on eBay. Reminds me of Salvador Dali.

Fortunately there are no pictures of the wrist.

I clicked the link hoping for a good story, but no luck. Hopefully the watch wasn’t on a wrist when this happened. At the very least there are some spare links there if someone needs them. 😀

Missile testing?
It does make you wonder what must have happened to get that result. As @Dan S said, let’s hope it wasn’t on someone’s wrist at the time.

Omegas take on the Cartier Crash. Would be funny to somehow get it working again with one of those extra tiny quartz movements and a custom crystal of sorts.

This is a job for Archer. I don’t think that stuff is going to buff out.

“You and your damn watches!” She screamed. “We can hardly afford to feed the children. We have unpaid bills piling up, you’ve been on the bench since the pandemic started at it looks like you’re going to be let go, and then you come home with a gormless grin across your face saying ‘hey baby, look what I just picked up at the local OB’.”

And with that she grabbed it from him, and launched it out of the 9th story window onto the road below.

I thought this thread was going to have a "Live and Let Die" connection. But your script isn't bad. 👍

Send it to Omega for service?
Send it to Archer maybe and get him to do a photo series on using the watchmaker’s sledgehammer to belt it back into shape

Wow. Just wow. I am trying to imagine how the case became that deformed - even if they had put it in a vice, I can’t imagine someone could have crushed it so much. Not sure there are gonna be many useful parts in that one.

Sorry, but I'll be busy with this one:

A Speedmaster of a customer of mine. He was wearing this when a German Shepherd bit him - you can see where a tooth has damaged the dial after puncturing the crystal. The bracelet snapped and that allowed him to get his hand free, but he didn't come out of it unscathed - I will save you all the picture he sent me of the underside of his wrist...in case anyone is squeamish...

I'm afraid that AT is toast.

Maybe it was tested by J Neilson

This guy scares any knife maker. Watch the gusto he puts into testing these knives. This is ice but I watch each week him do it on everything from deer antler to bike frames

That was shot before he started to suit up in near body armor to do all the testing...

Most folks here have probably already seen Hodinkee's The Long Return videos, but at about 7:00 in Part 2 can see Tudor Restorations forming a custom jig out of brass to reform the case for a Tudor Submariner (bullet strike, in this case)

An ineffectual and shameless attempt by Omega to emulate the Cartier Crash…
