Here is a cousin
Movement 237xxxxxx
Production: October 1966

Really nice one gemini4, does yours have a -64 inscription inside the caseback or just the 165024?

Happy days,

Got this beautiful 165024 -64 HF, a serial 23.000.xxx (late 1965) with one of the most beautiful and rare type B bezel and dial i’ve ever seen.

This one almost slipped my hands due to a work trip and not being able to bid on it in an auction. I grieved and thought this one was lost forever, but luck and destiny must have played an role this time.

I visited my watchmaker and told him that I was heart broken of a watch I missed. Some time went talking about other watches and he pulled out a watch he recently had acquired.

And what do my eyes see!? The same watch!!
Sometimes the stars do align...

So today I picked it up, fully serviced and ready for another 55 years, now on my wrist
with a 1506-16 bracelet stamped 4/66.

How high would we have gone against each other if I would have been bidding on this one also? 😀
Congrats, one of the best example ever seen!

Is it just the best, gorgeous, nicest ever, awesome, most beautiful, coolest, ...?

I think it's just the real thing that speaks for itself. 👍

Congrats!

Envy. My 166.024 is my favorite watch to wear. I like the bold dial simplicity of it vs my Speedies

Thanks again for all great comments! Here’s a better lume shot under a UV light, I think it’s looking crisp and clean, and it dies out in around 15 seconds after the light is switched off.
