Package arrived today, so I very gently opened the satchel (maybe not so gently) and the carton inside. And inside was a white box..... ........and another white box Ah Ha! A GREEN box! and in the green box, a watch with a nice reflective crystal . Now I suppose you want to see a close-up. Well....... OK. Here you are. The End
Watch is not centered on the pillow. Think you got a fake one there. Sorry Congrats. Nice watch. It feels so much bigger on the wrist than the 14060. Have a feeling that I will have to have one soon as well
I doubt Rolex would send out a watch with dust on the crystal, I'm going to second @Togri v. 2.0, it's fake. Very nice watch, by the way, and congratulations on it.
You do realize, according to many on this board, that Rolex's are soon going to plunge in value and ADs will be deeply discounting SS Subs, GMTs, Daytonas and all other professional/sport models very soon. It's all a coordinated scheme by the devious Rolex firm. In any event, a nice watch (even though it might be a good fake).
Done It can't be a fake, I got it from a guy called Chris who is an expert . Price is never a consideration for me if I see a watch I want. Besides, when it became available I really lowballed the seller and got it for a steal . Certainly will Geoff. I just have to adjust the bracelet, give it a clean and polish it up on the buffer first though.
Yeh, that'd be right "Certainly will Geoff. I just have to adjust the bracelet, give it a clean and polish it up on the buffer first though". Just make sure you get rid of those nasty sharp edges on the case lugs mate, whatever were Rolex thinking.....
The first sign of the pending crash in the Rolex market? Who knows, but you heard it hear first. Nice purchase, is it new?
Not new. But the seller could have described it as "LNIB" if he'd wanted to and he wouldn't have been bullshitting. I'm totally satisfied with it.
I was working on something at my desk when Ms JiO walked in and saw what I was doing. "You men! You've only had it for five minutes and you're already pulling it apart!" She was half right. But there was a reason for that. If I had to remove some of the bracelet for re-sizing I may as well go all the way and give it a bath. Now all clean and shiny so I won't need to use the buffing wheel! And for @Waltesefalcon, not a speck of dust on the crystal! Bracelet re-sized to my -̶s̶k̶i̶n̶n̶y̶-̶ low diameter kevlar strength wrists. I'm a happy chappie.
I was tempted, but it was already on and halfway through a wash after breakfast and as I don't like going near a dishwasher that's got to be unloaded and stuff put away, I headed for my garage and the US machine. Besides, I have to treat this one with kid gloves as I'm following the PP mantra: "You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation." Adapted for my two Rolexsesss of course. So if my Son is a good Son, it will be passed on to him. But if he's a bad Son, and puts me in a shitty old persons home, instead of a swish "Retirement Resort", then one of my Grandsons will be the next custodian. (Are you reading this and absorbing it DJ? )
