Hello all 馃榾
I would like to ask if my eterna is gold capped?
Could you tell from the photos?
Is the ring on the case gold?
If it was gold, shouldn't it be engraved on the caseback?
Thank you!

Indeed all points to gold capped. You can tell from the way it鈥檚 made, a thick layer of gold on top of steel, covering the bezel (rim) qnd the lugs. Case backs are different.

There鈥檚 more info you can search on line.

Your third picture gives the clearest view - look at the lugs. Welcome to the best value in vintage watches - that's a nice one, WIGH!

As you can see from the sides and back of your watch the case is steel, so, yes, that layer of gold over the steel is the gold cap. It's a great looking 3000. Eterna movements are incredibly robust and capable of fantastic time keeping.

It's gold capped, as @TimeODanaos says the 3rd picture shows it clearly, my Eterna Matic 1000 for comparison, if you zoom in you can see ther the gold 'caps' the lug and where the gold bezel covers the case.

It's gold-capped, but quite different than an Omega gold-capped case in that steel is entirely visible from the side. In other gold-capped cases, the gold wraps around the sides of the lugs and mid-case and steel is only seen from below.
