Good Afternoon It is not everyday that you see a vintage zenith el primero in great shape. The A788 is a rare item considering that only1400 examples were built and not that many are in very good condition. I bought one which has its original crown and has its original box and it was in outstanding condition. Pics of the seller, I will post mine when it arrives have a nice day Best regards and stay safe Georges
I saw it before at the same chrono 24 dealer but when it was cheaper and missed it due to other priorities. The A384, A385 and 386 being unaffordable for me so I switched to this model without any regrets. I also read watchuseek member semper vivens well referenced post on vintage vintage stainless steel el primero to buy one.I have other vintage el primero models on my list.
Cool. You're the poster child for being patient and research. It's a new reference to me. Quite thin and it looks comfortable. The dial reminds me of Movado Datachron. Thanks for sharing.
Good Afternoon The bracelet is an Expandro made in West Germany because marked W Germany and this brand has made steel bracelets for some major brands. The bracelet is too loose, I will have it shortened. Otherwise exceptional condition of this A788. Have a nice week end Best regards and stay safe Georges
Lovely chronograph, and in great shape by the look of it. That's undoubtedly a great find. Congrats! Regarding Expandro, I once had an early 80s Breitling bracelet made by them and it was of a decent quality for the time...
Hi Pascal I hope that you are doing fine. The german seller who sold me the watch told me that it was sold on the german market soI am not astonished that it came on iteven though avery rarely encountered bracelet. You usually found a Gay Freres bracelet on these models. Best regards Georges
There is something about a vintage Zenith. I love my remaining one and it’s up there as a collection favourite
